But that actually makes him think about things in a new light. It's true that whenever he has a big competition his ego swells more than normal, and he gets a little more teasing than usual too. He'd just assumed it was his Competition Persona, but maybe he's actually compensating for the nerves?? It's unnerving to think about.
Also, Richie calling him a "big time athlete" cheers him up a bit. ]
that's pretty sagely advice from someone who says he doesn't have a lot figured out my girlfriend's engagement ring showed up in my apartment it gave me a shock!!

I'd say down here's better, but then there's all the dragons and whatever that tapeworm from hell was that almost ate us. Real sad toss up between two rotten eggs if you ask me.
